Itinerary highlights

  • Victoria Falls as a gateway to a unique trip that includes a safari in Zambia and a dreamy island in Malawi
  • From the savannah to the beach, dreamy accommodation and eco-tourism close to nature
  • Meals, air taxi, game drive and snorkelling: everything is planned, everything is included - you set the pace!
  • Snorkelling and fine sand at Lake Malawi: a unique experience
Some trips are more rewarding than others, and this is one of them. You will need to take a few flights and travel along hidden tracks, but the reward is worth it: a trip through unspoilt nature, from Victoria Falls to the crystal-clear waters of Lake Malawi, via Zambia's most beautiful wildlife reserve. This intimate trip also offers the opportunity to observe wildlife that has been largely untouched by tourism and to meet friendly locals. One last distinctive feature: the care we have taken in selecting your accommodation. A charming lodge on the banks of the Zambezi, an amazing camp in the heart of the bush, and, as a highlight, a rustic yet chic and ethnic-style lodge on Likoma Island at Lake Malawi. Whether you stay in a luxurious tent in the savannah or an enchanting bungalow by the water, this is the perfect trip for a couple.

On your way...

Victoria Falls - Victoria Falls, among the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Two kilometres (one-and-a-half miles) wide, they can be seen from over 20 kilometres (12 miles) away and heard from over 40 kilometres (25 miles) away! You can walk along small paths above the abyss. Despite its popularity, the site remains wild and unspoilt, with lush vegetation, forest trails and suspension bridges. Highlight.

South Luangwa National Park - Located in the east of the country, it is the most beautiful park in the country with its wooded savannah vegetation and dense forests. The Luangwa River is a prime habitat for hippos and crocodiles; its canals and banks absorb the annual floods and create waterholes that attract buffaloes, zebras, antelopes and leopards. You can watch wildlife during a walking safari, night or day, to get as close as possible to elephants and other animals.

The magnificent Lake Malawi - Crystal-clear 26°C water, fine sand, and a dhow on the horizon. The decor is set as solidly as the parasol. With a snorkel in your mouth, you dip your head underwater to watch the colourful cichlids swim by. Despite appearances, the shores of Lake Malawi, the ninth largest lake in the world, are 800 km (497 miles) from the Indian Ocean. After a horseback ride beneath the mango and baobab trees, accompanied by zebras, head to the beach to set off on a catamaran. The other treasure here is the people: to experience the warm Malawian welcome, visit the many villages that line the lake at market time. In the evening, return to tranquillity on the terrace overlooking the water. A taste of sweet paradise.
