Austral Islands

About 600 km (373 miles) south of Tahiti, the volcanic islands of the Austral archipelago enjoy a temperate climate. Still rarely visited by tourists, the Australes are not a destination for staying in large luxury hotels, as there simply aren’t any. During your stay in the Austral Islands, you are welcomed into local homes with genuine simplicity, giving you the privilege of experiencing Polynesia as a Polynesian. Travellers come to Rurutu especially to observe humpback whales during the southern-hemisphere winter, from July to October. The most visited island is: Rurutu.

Marquesas Islands

A journey to the Marquesas... The name is enchanting.
