Polynesia - Tahiti - Moorea - Bora Bora
100% customisable for you
Upon arrival at Tahiti Airport, you will be greeted by our local representative, given priority access to immigration formalities and assistance with your luggage. Pick up your rental car and drive to the west coast of the island. Stay for four nights in a peaceful residence by the lagoon. The comfortable duplex apartment exudes a bohemian chic vibe. Sky blue and light wood tones blend together harmoniously. It offers all the necessary comforts, with an added touch of poetry. In the master bedroom, the large bay window offers a view of the Pacific in all its majesty. All rooms are furnished with cosy beds. A covered terrace and a small private garden complete the picture, not to mention the large communal swimming pool and direct access to the beach.
Already planned - Some initial groceries will be delivered directly to your accommodation.
Its name alone evokes Polynesian mythology: Tahiti, the lost island in the middle of the Pacific, never ceases to amaze. On the west coast, the A'rahurahu marae in Paea, an ancient place of worship, closely guards some of its secrets. A little further on, the Mara'a caves attempt to hide behind a curtain of vegetation. Continuing south, you’ll leave Tahiti Nui and head to Tahiti Iti. The peninsula knows how to welcome visitors, rolling out the famous Teahupo'o wave like a red carpet for its guests. Returning to the main island, you then head for the east coast. The twin waterfalls of Vaihi in Faoone spring from the vegetation and take you by surprise. The Faarumai waterfalls are magnificent and are located near the Anahoho cave, nicknamed “the blower's hole” - the origin of the name quickly becomes obvious. The grand tour ends on the north side, at the Tahara'a viewpoint, where you can lose yourself in the stunning panoramic view of Matavai Bay.
There is so much to see and do in Tahiti that it's sometimes hard to know where to start.
Our suggestion for combining culture and relaxation on this new day is to start at the Museum of Tahiti and The Islands, located at Pointe-des-Pêcheurs, in the commune of Punaauia. Freshly renovated, it reopened in 2023 under a new Tahitian name: Te Fare Ia’manaha (the “open house”). On your itinerary: 1,400 m² of exhibition space housing 30,000 objects divided into “islands,” reflecting the archipelago. After reviewing the island's history and treasures, head to the gardens. When you leave the museum, follow the coast to Vaiava Beach (known as “PK18” to locals), considered by many to be “the most beautiful white sand beach in Tahiti” - and certainly the most popular on the west coast. Offshore, coral reefs are home to surgeonfish, butterflyfish, and other colourful species, easily observable with a mask and snorkel. For a more intimate atmosphere, head in the opposite direction - north, towards the black sand beach of Pointe Vénus. Its name is promising, and it should not disappoint.
Already planned - Monoï oil creation workshop. The meeting point is at the South Pacific Cosmetology Laboratory. The goal is for you to learn how to make monoï oil from pre-macerated and scented oils. Along the way, you'll learn about the benefits of plants, the scents of flowers, and the most exotic fragrances: frangipani, kahaia, pitate (jasmine), and more. At the end of this fun experience, you'll leave with your own personalised bottle, a unique and typically Polynesian souvenir.
Not to be missed - The Te Mana O Te Moana sea turtle rehabilitation centre. Committed to preserving the Polynesian marine environment, with a particular focus on protecting sea turtles, the association carries out concrete actions to protect the archipelago's marine environment.
Drive to the port, return the car, and cross over to Moorea, a 45-minute boat ride from Tahiti. From the deck, the magical island stands out with its steep slopes and extraordinary vegetation: forests of teak, mahogany, acacia, and mango trees rise majestically on the mountainsides. After disembarking, pick up your new rental car and stay for five nights on the north coast of the island. The pretty wooden house is part of a hillside residence facing the sea. The house is surrounded by forest. You will have access to special amenities, such as an outdoor hot tub, as well as those shared by the residence: a swimming pool, a tennis court and a gym. The interior is elegantly furnished - tasteful decor reflects a genuine concern for aesthetics, beyond mere considerations for comfort. Finally, the location is ideal for enjoying the endless beautiful sites of Moorea, which is just a few minutes’ drive away.
Four full days to enjoy Moorea, Tahiti's sister island. The beauty of its lagoon, the gentle pace of life, the kindness of its inhabitants and its culinary delights have inspired many artists and charmed many sailors. A true island gem, it protects exceptional marine flora and fauna that are well worth a proper visit.
Already planned - Your tickets to the Te Fare Natura eco-museum. A fascinating showcase of the richness of Polynesian culture and biodiversity, the museum draws on scientific work in biology, geology, anthropology and ecology. Its varied exhibitions and aquariums invite you to immerse yourself in this captivating heritage.
Optional - Polynesian dance dinner show.
Our suggestion - Snorkelling with stingrays and blacktip reef sharks, independently. First, you'll need to find a boat. A kayak will do the trick. Luckily, we have a contact who rents them out! Once you're equipped, head out to sea to the spot where stingrays and blacktip reef sharks meet. Tie your boat to one of the buoys on site while you observe. Since the water is no more than two metres deep, it is easy to swim with these fascinating marine animals. The only requirement is to remember your goggles and snorkels.
Already planned, for lunch - a restaurant booking by the water on a nearby motu, also accessible by kayak. One of our favourite spots!
Our suggestion - Hike Magic Mountain. It's impossible to resist this hike that has such a promising name. The slope slips beneath your feet, the sun warms your neck, and fruit trees perfume the path. Once at the summit, 200 metres above sea level, you are rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view: the lagoon, Opunohu Bay, Tetiaroa Island. Not to mention a few boats moored on the horizon.
Other options for those who don't enjoy hiking include diving at Tiki or in the Opunohu canyons, exploring some of the island's hidden corners by bike, enjoying wood-fired mahi-mahi on the beach, or watching the daily sunset show.
Another day full of promise. For this one, why not follow the rhythm of the sun? It starts with sunrise at PK 0, the Temae public beach - one of the most beautiful on the island - with breathtaking views of Tahiti. Then head between Cook's Bay and Opunohu Bay on the north coast to enjoy Ta'ahiamanu Beach, which is lined with coconut trees. You can enjoy lunch with your feet in the sand thanks to the many picnic tables. Bonus: the local atmosphere, as the place is very popular with the locals!
Already planned - Your tickets to the tree climbing park. Thrill seekers take note: Polynesia's only tree climbing park offers five courses in the trees for all ages. From the most accessible to the most athletic, including zip lines and suspension bridges, this activity is sure to create wonderful memories for your group.
Optional - Sailing aboard a traditional canoe.
Return the car and fly to Bora Bora. Upon arrival, pick up your new rental car and drive to the east coast. Stay for four nights in your last private villa. With direct access to a beautiful beach, this location allows you to live at the pace of the lagoon and enjoy the colourful views: the electrifying azure of the water, the immaculate white of the sand, the soft green of the palm trees. It is spacious and modern, with all the comforts you could wish for, tasteful décor and large windows that let in the bright coastal light. When it comes to dining, the choice is yours: on the terrace, gazing out at the horizon, or in one of the many restaurants nearby.
Who hasn't dreamed of visiting Bora Bora? The most beautiful lagoon in the world, the jewel of the southern seas, the pearl of the Pacific, the island created by the gods... There is no shortage of superlatives. Bora Bora is the ultimate mythical destination: an island and its lagoon with sublime shades of blue, a coral reef teeming with life, a string of motus and dazzling sandy beaches. It’s hard to choose between relaxing in your accommodation on stilts, canoeing, diving, or walking in the footsteps of Paul Gauguin or Paul-Emile Victor... Around a bend in the cove, a dream, a sail in the distance; is it Jack London's Snark or Alain Gerbault's Firecrest?
Our suggestion for the day - Picnic on Matira Point. Immerse yourself in the local atmosphere by mingling with Polynesian families who gather here to have picnics to the sound of the ukulele. This is an opportunity to try firi firi - small coconut milk doughnuts - sold in Vaitape, on the side of the road. Looking for a more exclusive atmosphere? Visit in the morning, when the island is still asleep.
Another day on Bora Bora, the island with the double name, like a reflection of the sky on the sea. It lies perfectly in the centre of its lagoon. Pure blue, deep blue, light blue, turquoise, transparent: it displays them all, juxtaposing them.
Already planned - A private boat trip supervised by a Polynesian guide. On your itinerary: a complete tour of the lagoon with several stops to encounter manta rays, stingrays and leopard rays. In Toopua, where marine life thrives in ideal conditions, the coral garden is an invitation to explore with goggles and a snorkel in water ranging from one to six metres deep - ideal.
Things to do and experience - Book a Polynesian massage in the open air, on the beach, with only the sound of the trade winds as music; admire the landscape from a parasail; set off on a kayak or outrigger canoe trip; hire a bicycle or scooter to explore the island at your leisure.
Drive to the airport, return the rental car and fly to your destination Tahiti. Upon arrival, a private transfer takes you to the port and use of a studio in central Papeete - with shower, kitchenette, living area, and Wi-Fi - so you can freshen up before your return.
Things to see and do in Papeete before departure: Stroll among the market stalls offering crafts and local dishes; get swept up in a street performance on To'ata or Vaiete squares; grab a quick bite on-the-go along the seafront; take a quiet moment in the lush Paofai seaside gardens, and more
Another transfer takes you to the airport. Assistance on site, international flight, and arrival two days later.
