100% customisable travel idea
Seychelles - Mahé - La Digue - Praslin
100% customisable for you
Overnight flight arriving the following day.
Meet and greet at the airport then a private transfer to your first exclusive accommodation, perched on a hill on the north coast of the island. You’ll stay here for three nights. It is a contemporary hotel with refined décor and offers just a handful of cosy suites, fully equipped and decorated in fresh tones. From the balconies and windows, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. On site, there is an infinity pool, a gym and several cosy rooms, all inviting you to relax and unwind. And if relaxation is still not enough, you can head to the spa and entrust your wellbeing to expert hands offering soothing treatments and massages. As for your hire car, it will be dropped off right at the hotel.
Mahé, the main island of the Seychelles, revolves around Victoria, the smallest capital city in the world that is full of charm with its colourful colonial houses. The most famous beaches are Beau Vallon, Anse Soleil, Anse la Mouche and Anse Intendance, all stunning with their granite rocks and emerald takamaka trees. For the more athletic: The island is abound with hiking trails, particularly in Morne Seychellois National Park.
On your itinerary - A Creole lunch in paradise. You have a lunch reservation at a magnificent tropical estate. When the large wooden doors swing open, you will be greeted by the gentle swaying of slender palm trees and, further on, by the 65 hectares (160 acres) of nature in this beautifully preserved private reserve. At the end of the coconut grove is a splendid cove. It is in this idyllic setting that you will enjoy lunch before taking a tour of the property in a golf cart. Along the way, you’re sure to come across some tortoises - guardians of the tranquility of the place since time immemorial.
Not to be missed - The market in Victoria, capital of the Seychelles and home to a third of the population. The market here, the Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke Market, small though it may be, is one of the few in the archipelago and is well worth a visit. Stroll from stall to stall, breathing in the scent of spices, before going for a walk in the botanical gardens or visiting the Clock Tower, a miniature replica of Big Ben, just in front of the Ministry of Justice. You can then visit the Victoria National Museum of History, which depicts the island’s fairly turbulent history. On leaving Victoria, after a few twists and turns, you’ll reach La Mission viewpoint, arguably one of the most beautiful on the island if you go in the morning and avoid the mist. Here you’ll find a magnificent tropical forest dotted with hiking trails.
To do - Hike up to the Copolia plateau. Perched 500 metres (1,640 feet) above sea level, it offers spectacular views of the lush green hills behind Victoria, the deep blue ocean and the neighbouring islands. The trail, which is moderately difficult and reasonably shaded, winds through the forests of Morne Seychellois National Park, giving you the chance to discover its endemic flora and fauna.
Optional - Private kayaking trip in the mangroves.
Private transfer to the airport and flight to Praslin. Another transfer to the port, then a ferry crossing to the island of La Digue. Settle in for two nights in a stunningly beautiful estate, where a few villas built in the local architectural style are scattered among tropical plants on the hillside. Lose yourself in this environment of enchanting elegance.
It’s just like you see on the postcards… The beaches bordering the lagoon are stunning and the hills dotted with coconut palms give the island a delightfully exotic feel. Here, time stands still as you soak up the charm of this completely unspoilt little island.
To see and do - Visit l’Union Estate, where you can meet giant tortoises; take a trip to Veuve bird reserve; go on a boat trip to Cocos Island; hike up to Nid d’Aigle, the highest point on the island; go on a glass-bottom kayak trip on the lagoon.
Already planned for sunset - Champagne apéritif and canapés at the hotel bar.
Transfer to the port and ferry crossing to Praslin. Pick up your second hire car and settle in for four nights at your final charming accommodation, facing the Côte d’Or bay and overlooking the Anse Gouvernement beach. Its architecture makes the most of the idyllic setting with a stepped structure. The rooms overlook the ocean, stretching as far as the eye can see. The sophisticated décor combines wood and cane, perfectly in keeping with the distinctly Seychellois spirit of the place. Paths with exotic scents wind through the estate, leading to the swimming pool and its beautiful terrace, and to the restaurant housed in a dazzling white Creole building. Below, a golden beach runs along the turquoise sea.
Optional - A private day trip hiking along the south coast, from cove to cove.
The second largest island in the Seychelles is nothing short of paradise. Its coral sand beaches, shaded by coconut palms, border crystal-clear waters that invite you to take a dip. The island’s natural wealth encourages contemplation and inspires exploration.
Not to be missed - The Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve in Praslin National Park. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this natural sanctuary is criss-crossed by an interesting network of marked trails, ideal for plenty of easy hikes. The routes are open and let you glimpse many species endemic to the archipelago: The famous coco de mer sea coconut palm, for example, which produces the largest nut in the world - the “coco fesse” with its rather suggestive bum-like shape; rare pairs of black parrots; and incredible Seychelles skinks.
Optional - A day trip to the island of Curieuse.
Flight to Mahé, access to the airport lounge, then return international flight. Night spent on the plane, arrival the next day.
