Itinerary highlights

  • Sunshine, gently leaning palm trees and warm water just steps away: the Seychelles—a dream destination to share with the whole family.
  • Your two Creole-inspired houses are comfortable and fully equipped, offering all the comforts of home with views over the Indian Ocean.
  • A day cycling around La Digue, a stroll through a cassava plantation - all on the itinerary. Encounter giant tortoises on Curieuse, spend the night on La Digue: each one a memorable experience.
  • Carbon absorption, airport lounge access, e-visa management, car rental, concierge service: the extra Voyageurs touch/li>
To treasures, pirates and turtles... The island is undoubtedly a fantastic playground for family adventures. Arrive by boat, wander barefoot or cycle along the shore, and above all, embrace the gentle pace of life here—from your first swim to the last golden rays of the sun. Snorkels askew, the children call out excitedly, eager to catch the eye of their parents relaxing in the shade of the takamaka trees. It’s striking how the vivid colours of parrotfish, butterflyfish and Picasso triggerfish stand in sharp contrast to the everyday world above the surface. Just like breadfruit trees, coconut palms and vibrant market stalls. Add to that water temperatures hovering around 28°C, sand perfect for building sparkling castles, the scent of mangoes picked straight from the tree, and adventures in the countryside and on neighbouring islands. These are the memories that will forever define their first taste of paradise.

Your journey

A first taste of the Seychelles on Mahé, the archipelago’s main island, where the true spirit of the islands comes to life. A land made for walking, it reveals lush vegetation and an abundance of birds and fish. Nature in its purest form. Victoria, the capital, is the smallest in the world and is home to dozens of charming, brightly painted colonial houses. A short hop by boat brings you to Praslin. Its evocative name, echoing the gentle sweetness of a sugared treat, lives up to every promise. A true haven of tranquillity, where white-sand beaches fringe the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and tropical beauty abounds. Surrender to the gentle art of doing nothing, or set off to explore the island’s coves—some small and secluded, others wide and open to the elements. Climb a little higher and brush the treetops of the Vallee de Mai, a natural reserve home to a dense, ancient forest where every shade of wild green reveals itself. There you have it - a brief overview of the itinerary. On both islands, you stay in welcoming, family-friendlyhouses. Spacious and exceptionally well equipped, these residences are designed so everyone in your group feels right at home and can enjoy complete independence - with the added benefit of hotel services, as the properties are part of larger complexes welcoming guests. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Mahe or along the oceanfront in Praslin, shops and restaurants are all within easy reach. You even have a hire car, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace and discover beaches strung along the coast like pearls on a necklace. Pristine and crystal-clear, these waters are perfect for snorkelling or exploring by kayak. On your itinerary, we've included a guided outing focused on Seychellois agriculture and flavours with a local expert on Mahe, as well as time to explore La Digue by bicycle at your own pace. The small neighbouring island unfolds in a patchwork of coconut groves and colonial houses, with clear beaches and secluded coves sheltered by granite outcrops. Finally, should you have a sudden change of plan or encounter a minor hiccup, you have the contact details of our on site English-speaking concierge, available at any time. Working closely with your consultant, you can adapt your journey even once you’ve arrived - there’s always room for spontaneity in paradise.

In the Seychelles, they’re sure to fall in love with it...

Channel your inner Robinson Crusoe on untouched islands; dive into a vast natural aquarium and spot new fish every day; venture deep into fern- and moss-filled forests to stumble upon ruins, waterfalls and pirate caves; cycle with the wind in your hair, stopping for as many refreshing dips as there are wow-worthy beaches; learn how to peel cassava and make your own Seychellois flatbreads; and, each evening, compare your latest tan lines...

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Night spent on the plane, arrival the next day.

Welcome on arrival, then a private transfer to your hotel. Five-night stay in the south-west of Mahé, on the edge of Anse Soleil beach, one of the most beautiful on the island. Your charming little accommodation feels like a guest-house. Its location away from tourist areas is ideal for a peaceful stay, and also makes it easy to explore the region by car. You will stay in accommodation with a fully equipped kitchenette to ensure greater independence, while also enjoying simple but high-quality hotel services.

Scheduled: a guided walk exploring agricultural activity and local flavours. This morning, Nils, a Mahé native with a deep love for his island, invites you off the beaten track to discover a completely different side of the Seychelles. In the wild south, perched on a hillside, is the largest cassava plantation in the archipelago. This spot, set in the heart of nature, offers the opportunity to learn more about cassava farming - the staple of local cuisine, known for its many benefits. The estate owner will meet you for a walk through the plantation, then open the doors of the factory to explain the different stages involved in transforming this tuber. Guests of all ages are then invited to peel cassava and help prepare the famous cakes, a dish much loved in the Seychelles. The day continues with a lunch of local specialities with Nils. You share a warm and friendly moment, exchanging insights into Seychelles culture.

The main island of the Seychelles is centred around Victoria, the world’s smallest capital, charming with its colourful colonial houses. The most renowned beaches are Beau Vallon, Anse Soleil, Anse la Mouche and Anse Intendance. They are all stunning with their granite rocks and emerald takamaka trees. Active travellers will also find plenty to enjoy, as the island offers many hiking trails, especially in Morne Seychellois National Park.

Things to do in Mahé - Victoria Market, for its entertainment, colourful stalls and the aroma of spices. People come here to meet the locals and soak up everyday life in Seychelles. The botanical garden is also worth a visit; enjoy a fragrant stroll there.
Planned for you - A rental car at your disposal to explore Mahé independently. Our recommendation: travel along the winding Sans Soucis Road, which crosses the island’s mountainous hinterland, to admire the spectacular natural scenery from the comfort of your vehicle. The island’s typical landscapes unfold, with mountains, green hills and lush valleys. Don’t miss the La Mission viewpoint.   It’s surely one of the island’s most beautiful spots if you go in the morning to avoid the mist.
Optional - Secret Mahé by 4x4.

Private transfer to Mahé port, then a boat crossing to Praslin. Welcome on arrival and a private transfer to Côte d'Or beach, where you unpack your bags for five nights in your villa. It's a modern Creole-style house by the sea, with spacious, comfortable interiors. It includes two bedrooms, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a terrace for your comfort. The property offers around fifteen similar villas, either by the beach or in its gardens, where there is also a small swimming pool. Shops and restaurants are very close by, as is the Vallée de Mai.

The second largest island in the Seychelles, famous for its idyllic beaches, Praslin is also home to one of the oldest primeval forests. The legendary Vallée de Mai reinvents a primeval world where the largest seed on earth grows - the unusual coco de mer, fruit of the archipelago’s iconic palm tree. Here, the earth is red, parrots are black, and the beaches are immaculately white
Scheduled: snorkelling at Anse Lazio, a postcard-perfect beach considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Exceptionally romantic, with its striking pink granite boulders and wide expanses of pristine sand framed by lush hills and turquoise waters, this beach invites you to swim in a truly idyllic setting. It is, of course, perfect for snorkelling and for a stroll with a camera in hand.

Your itinerary - La Digue by bicycle.  After a short boat ride from the Praslin jetty, you reach La Digue. Bicycles are available, allowing you to explore this idyllic island with complete freedom and safety. With map in hand, hop on and set off on your adventure. A few suggestions: the historic Union Estate (former plantation house, copra mill, giant tortoises, vanilla plantation…); the beaches: Anse Source d'Argent, one of the most famous beaches in the world with its massive rocks and turquoise water, along with Grand Anse and Anse Coco, which are less crowded and wilder.

Scheduled - Two days' car rental are included during your stay, so you can explore the island freely, especially its national park and the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai reserve, which is home to many endemic species.
Optional - Curieuse Island.

Private transfer to Praslin airport, then flight to Mahé. Access to the lounge at Mahé airport, then international return flight. Night spent on the plane, arrival the next day.

À la carte

This suggested itinerary can be customisable down to the smallest detail, including duration, stops and content. An à la carte menu of experiences is also available to create a journey that reflects who you are.

Secret Mahe by 4x4

Some say that in the Seychelles, the most winding paths lead to the most breathtaking views. While the centre of Mahe is criss-crossed with roads offering easily accessible scenic viewpoints by standard car, beyond these routes, the primary forest takes over once more, concealing untouched and little-explored landscapes. You set off in a 4x4, accompanied by a private English-speaking guide, to explore this network of dirt tracks scattered with sites as surprising as they are varied: old copra mills, tea and cinnamon plantations, stretches of granite, waterfalls and remote villages. A unique journey to the heights of Gondwana, offering a true immersion in pristine wilderness. A true escape from it all.

A morning on Curieuse Island

From Praslin’s northern coast, you step aboard a private boat for the short journey to Curieuse Island. A true sanctuary for Aldabra giant tortoises, the island also preserves the remains of a former leprosy hospital and the doctor's house, now transformed into a small museum—well worth a visit. You venture a little further inland, walking through the mangroves before reaching Laraie Bay. You then put on masks and snorkels for a snorkelling session in the heart of a life-sized aquarium.
