100% customisable for you
Flight to Santiago. Night on board, arrival the next day.
Private transfer and accommodation for one night near Parque Forestal. Behind its contemporary façade, your hotel, ideally located for exploring the capital, offers simple, comfortable rooms. To see and do - the historic centre and its colonial architecture; stroll through Quinta Normal Park; visit the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and La Moneda Palace; discover La Chascona, former home of Pablo Neruda; wander around Plaza de la Ciudadanía; enjoy a drink in Bellavista or Providencia; climb the hills of Santa Lucía…
Private transfer to the airport and flight to Calama. Pick up your rental car, then head towards San Pedro de Atacama. The white of the salt, the blue of the sky, the ochre of the cracked earth, the russet of the vegetation typical of these latitudes… The Atacama Desert is one of the most extreme in the world. Because the air is so dry, the skies there are exceptionally clear. San Pedro is like an oasis. The church, built of adobe bricks, is one of the oldest in the country (17th century). In the city, visitors tour the Archaeological Museum, which offers deeper insight into the ingenious Atacama people’s civilisation. We’ll actively bring this new knowledge to life at the pre-Columbian sites of Quitor and Tulor. You’ll stay for four nights in a welcoming hotel with an adobe brick façade - the characteristic terracotta of desert accommodation. This lovely terracotta shade, combined with the exposed stonework, blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape. The rooms are modern, with sober décor. The rest of the accommodation has a more distinctive personality, with baskets and furniture made of wood or wicker. All the areas are open to the outdoors. At the end of the day, unwind by the pool or have a drink on one of the shaded terraces. Already planned - You’ll start by sharing a friendly moment - and a drink - with a guide who knows the area like the back of their hand. The guide will time to introduce you to the desert, advise you on unmissable activities, answer all your questions, and give you the key information you need to explore this wild expanse with complete peace of mind.
You’ll have three days to enjoy the beauty of the Atacama Desert, a world of silence nestled in the heart of the Andes. With your rental car, you’ll explore the region independently and at your own pace. If the desert promises a thousand and one wonders, the Valle de la Luna is absolutely unmissable. This desert landscape, with its lunar appearance, has strange rock formations and dunes shaped by millennia of water and wind erosion. You can set out on a hike through the Guatin gorges, in the heart of the Cactus Valley, to reach the Puritama hot springs, located at over 3,400 metres (11,150 feet) above sea level. Known for centuries, their benefits come from the hot water rich in minerals. You can easily reach the eight pools by walkways.
We’ll share some advice on visiting the salt flat lagoons in the Los Flamencos National Reserve, south of Socaire, at an altitude of 4,500 metres (14,764 feet). Chaxa Lagoon, in particular, is home to a large colony of flamingos, while Cejar Lagoon - where you can swim - has a high salt concentration that produces the same effect on the body as the Dead Sea. Finally, you’ll be left amazed by the geothermal phenomena at work here: the Tatio geysers - a geothermal area stretching over nearly 30 km (19 square miles), towering steam columns, hot springs and mud volcanoes that give the place a fascinating, apocalyptic atmosphere.Optional - Private ascent of Cerro Toco.
Head north towards another salt flat: the Aguas Calientes salt flat, located 154 km (96 miles) from San Pedro at an altitude of 4,200 metres. A magical place where the astonishing whiteness of the ground contrasts with the multicoloured hills. Not far from Paso de Sico, on the border with Argentina, the Piedras Rojas site is known for its blazing red stones, their colour the result of iron oxide build-up. Along your way, you’ll also come across the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons, where you may be lucky enough to spot flamingos, as well as vicuñas, rheas and foxes. As night falls, all eyes turn to the sky in the Atacama Desert. The absence of pollution and light disturbances creates an environment that is particularly well suited to stargazing. We are assisted in this pre-planned activity by telescopes, astronomical binoculars and the guidance of a specialist. Optional - Hot-air balloon flight over the Atacama Desert.
You’ll drive to Calama, return the vehicle, then fly to Santiago. You’ll then stay overnight at the airport in a contemporary hotel offering full amenities. Your morning flight is the following day.
Private transfer to the airport, then flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, you’ll pick up your rental car and drive to Puerto Natales. You’ll spend one night a little outside the city centre in a hotel with bold architecture offering superb views of Última Esperanza Bay - especially from the rooms. Slightly set into the hillside, the building is semi-buried to blend in and respect the environment. This also shelters it from the wind. Wood, lime, slate - the beautifully raw design showcases the materials and spirit of the region.
Early in the evening, you’ll meet at the hotel with an experienced local guide who, over a friendly aperitif, introduces the region in detail and shares valuable advice for the days ahead. This exclusive encounter is a tremendous opportunity, letting you explore independently with everything you need to confidently experience the vastness of Chilean nature.
Drive to the great Torres del Paine National Park, listed as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Dazzling landscapes and unreal colours are characteristic of the southern provinces of Magallanes and Última Esperanza. You’ll leave behind the vast wind-swept plains where guanacos roam, and head towards the iconic granite towers - the famous Torres - along a rocky track. You’ll settle in for three nights in a charming wooden stilted lodge, offering a breathtaking view of the immense Grey Glacier - nearly 4 km (2.5 miles) wide and 600 to 700 metres (1,970 to 2,300 feet) deep. You’ll be ideally located to explore the park, which, in the heart of winter, takes on a mystical aura and reveals landscapes that only a privileged few will ever have the chance to admire in their lifetime.
You’ll have two days to independently enjoy all the beauties of this extraordinary natural park. From your rental car, grand panoramas unfold along the roads. They’ll pass close to the idyllic Sarmiento, Nordenskjöld, Pehoé, Grey and Toro lakes, whose colours shift throughout the day. We’ll also take an interest in the Cuernos del Paine, those three spectacular peaks that are always visible, with privileged views from the mirador del Nordenskjöld or from the shore of Lake Pehoé. The park is, of course, a unique opportunity to go hiking. Among other options, you can take the trail to the Salto Grande waterfall (1 km), or the one to the Lago Grey viewpoint, which crosses the Avutardas River via a footbridge and then goes through the forest (45 minutes). Longer hikes bring you closer to the famous towers that gave the park its name, the tallest of which rises to 2,860 metres. Throughout your exploration, you’ll be left speechless by such raw and incredibly well-preserved nature, by so many contrasts - from the deep blue of the lakes to the white of the icebergs, and the cold, unchanging grey of the rocky cliffs. Already planned - A boat trip to Grey Glacier. If Lake Grey is dotted with icebergs, it’s no coincidence: in the distance stands the imposing glacier of the same name. You’ll approach this giant of ice by water and, on board, share a pisco sour chilled with a small piece of… glacier!Optional - Horse ride along the Río Serrano.
You’ll drive to Punta Arenas, return the vehicle and settle in for the night in the city centre. Your hotel is a charming little house, with décor that playfully references ranch life and the gaucho - a true Patagonian hero. The rooms are cosy, as is the pleasant lounge where you can catch a glimpse of the Strait of Magellan - a prelude to the adventures that await.
You’ll take a private transfer to the airport, then fly to Santiago. From there, a private transfer will take you to Valparaiso for a two-night stay in the heart of Cerro Alegre, in a house converted into a charming hotel where the hosts keep a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms, spread over two floors, each have their own character. And for good reason: each has been transformed by a local artist, with results that are sometimes surprising and always interesting. Throughout the hotel, art takes many forms: abstract, figurative, painting, sculpture and more. And there’s another gallery right at your feet: Valparaiso, with its thousand and one street paintings, winding alleyways and unique atmosphere. From the heights, you’ll have a unique view over all of this.
Set on vast hills - the cerros - that frame a beautiful bay open to the Pacific, “Valpo” is truly an open-air museum. Before the Panama Canal existed, all ships stopped here - or at least those that survived the perilous journey around Cape Horn. A legendary city inhabited by sailors and whalers, it has attracted many poets, writers and artists. It’s easy to see why when you discover these thousands of colourful houses, their walls covered in murals and spontaneous paintings that have earned the city a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list.Optional - a cooking class with a chef, in private.
Private transfer to Santiago airport and international return flight. Night on board, arrival the next day.
