This trip and the itinerary are perfect for the summer months. Whether you’re travelling as a couple or in a group, you will enjoy the best tropical weather conditions. This makes exploring cities and rural areas easier. As for relaxation, it will be peaceful. Five well-paced stops take you from Singapore to the Seribuat archipelago in the South China Sea. Contrasts of rhythms and atmospheres. You arrive in Singapore, a positive city that is all about modernity. There are many things here that are ahead of their time. The next stop is Malacca. Ancient history, a melting pot and colonial romanticism. Kuala Lumpur is every bit as exciting as Singapore in terms of enthusiasm for the future, but it also has some delightful, discreet places where you can reconnect with the things that really matter. A street restaurant, a few tables and stools, and you share something. There are many beautiful establishments of all kinds, which also raise the level of intimacy. That’s it for the west coast. You’ll now continue on to Taman Negara National Park, a natural treasure, located in the centre of the country. This beautiful protected area has a unique section of tropical forest that is incredibly old - a witness to a very distant past. The activities you can do there are very impressive. A unique experience. To catch your breath, without leaving the jungle entirely, head to the exclusive Tengah Island, in the Seribuat archipelago. Three days of greenery, fine sand and coral reefs. Three harmonious days away from a world that is becoming less and less harmonious. The need to experience joy in life. And then you return feeling refreshed.

Your trip

Singapore and Malaysia undoubtedly have the finest hotels in Southeast Asia. Whatever the style, the establishment provides elegance and attentive service. A wonderful variety of atmospheres and amenities awaits you: Peranakan inspiration in Singapore, a former colonial warehouse in Malacca, a chic tropical establishment in Kuala Lumpur, a lodge by the water in Taman Negara National Park and a bungalow in the jungle and next to the sea on Tengah Island. At each stop, there is something new; every place is charming, suitable, equipped with amenities and guaranteed to give you privacy. For reasons of flexibility, time and road conditions, transfers are made in an air-conditioned car with a driver. You win on every front. Your itinerary includes numerous activities accompanied by private English-speaking guides, who we are confident share our vision of the trip's objectives and services. On Tengah Island, you will enjoy complete freedom. In the city, you will find great restaurants. And, if you wish, our Concierge service will be happy to recommend the most suitable ones and make reservations on your behalf. In the jungle and on Tengah Island, you will of course be on a full-board basis. Finally, if you have a change of heart or if a minor setback arises along the way, our Concierges will once again be there to help you.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Night on board, arrival the next day.

Private transfer and check-in for two nights at a centrally located property, which also pays tribute to Fujianese Chinese immigrants, who have shaped Singapore’s commerce. On site, a small museum housed in a former temple of the Hakka and Cantonese communities tells this story. The layout and decor echo Chinese tradition in a thoroughly contemporary setting. It is well cared for and harmonious. The rooms are very well equipped, comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast is served on site. For other meals, a short stroll through Chinatown is enough to find a suitable restaurant. To plunge you into the vibrant Singaporean spirit, you can go and watch the nightly sound and light show at Gardens by the Bay, around the Supertrees. A quarter of an hour of plant-filled, futuristic magic.

Already booked - your tickets for the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. Still enchanted by last night, we continue exploring the Gardens Gardens two key spots. These giant greenhouses shelter, in one, a living botanical encyclopaedia - flowers and plants from around the world; in the other, a tropical forest. Breathtaking feats that amaze with their lushness, beauty and technical prowess.
Strolling through the city - which is exactly what you should do in Singapore, once you have tried the Singapore Sling at Raffles - it is easy to see that the art scene is thriving. There are many galleries offering antiques or contemporary works by artists from Asia and beyond. Museums now contribute to cultural as well as business influence through their significant collections. For example, the Asian Civilisations Museum, with its pan-Asian approach, and the Peranakan Museum, which focuses on the world of the Straits Chinese. The Singapore Art Museum collaborates with institutions such as the Centre Pompidou and the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo to assert its standing on the international stage.

Private transfer to Malacca, Malaysia. Night by the Malacca River. The hotel occupies a former flour warehouse. The European-style facade evokes long-distance trade and Chinese influences, and highlights the key role played by immigrants from the Celestial Empire. The decor features an abundance of plants and references to the strait’s international nature. The rooms are elegantly classic, well equipped and comfortable. The restaurant serves expert Chinese cuisine, Malaysian style. The tables move out of the dining room to spread into the garden. This is especially pleasant in the evening.
Already planned - Malacca, on foot and in private. Malacca’s location explains its patchwork look. An Indonesian prince is said to have founded it in 1400. The Chinese took an early interest, then came the Portuguese, Dutch and English. Each leaves their mark, especially the Portuguese. And modern Malaysia builds on that. To unravel the web of influences and ways of doing things, the insights provided by your guide are more than welcome.

Private transfer to Kuala Lumpur. A two-night stay opposite the famous Indo-Saracenic station. Your hotel is no less prestigious. Built in 1932, its immaculate facade tells many tales of tropical glamour. You can feel the same elegant spirit at the trade fairs. The decor plays pleasantly with vintage chic codes. Comfort is superior, both in the historic wing and in the new one. The restaurants do it all: Chinese, Malay, international, and reimagined colonial cuisine. All done with flair. We also know how to serve youafternoon tea in its finest form. The spa and pools are for relaxation and living life to the fullest.

On your itinerary - Kuala Lumpur, the inexhaustable. Accompanied by a private guide, we set off through streets, avenues and alleyways. Enthusiasts soon realise that architecture is one of Kuala’s charms. This is clear from the moment you enter the hotel, which faces the former railway station(1910). And, passing by the Jamek Mosque (1911), the Central Market(1888), and the Sin Sze Si Ya Temple (1864), we continue on to Kuala Lumpur Tower (1991-96), the Petronas Towers (1992-98), and Merdeka 118 (2023, 680 m or 2,231 ft). Urban parks - Titiwangsa Lake Garden orPerdana Botanical Gardens -create a surprising sense of peace. The cuisines, available in countless restaurants of all kinds, closely reflect the complex interactions at play here. Cultural life holds unexpected resources. And business reaches the expected scale.
Optional - Street food  Kuala Lumpur style.

Private transfer to Taman Negara National Park. Enjoy a two-night stay by the Tembeling River, in a bungalow at the lodge. Wood and plant fibres give the building the natural touch it deserves. Your room is simple and comfortable. At the restaurant, you find Malay and international dishes on the menu. A massage service is offered to guests - just what you need after a day of trekking through the jungle. Taman Negara is the oldest and largest of the peninsular parks. It protects a remnant tropical forest, thought to be 130 million years old. And this age-old formation is breathtakingly vibrant. Nature thrives when we let it be. That’s encouraging. The Sumatran rhinoceros is still found there. As is the Malayan tapir and the saro. Among the birds, the pheasants stand out: great argus, noble pheasant, or the iridescent Malayan peacock-pheasant.

On your itinerary - Private activities in the park. With specialised guides, you take a nighttime excursion that invites you to experience this unique environment from an unusual perspective. And perhaps to catch a glimpse of - and no doubt hear - those who hide during the day, such as the sambar, the mouse-deer and the porcupine. A daytime hike is also planned up to Teresek Hill, where you cross the world’s longest suspension bridge: 600 metres (just under 2,000 feet) long and 40 metres (131 feet) high. Vertigo and crossing the canopy. A unique perspective. Sailing along the river, under the majestic spell of the jungle, you reach the natural jacuzzi of Lata Berkoh and snorkel among the fish at the Kelah Fish Sanctuary. These freshwater swimmers are just as intriguing as their saltwater cousins.

Private transfer to the Mersing jetty and crossing to Tengah in the South China Sea. Settle in for a three-night stay in the forest, on a slope, above the beach. Your bungalow is built on stilts, so you can enjoy a view of both vegetation and sea from the balcony. A view, and a deep blend of sounds. The minimalist design of this destination lends itself to self-reflection. Everything is comfortable in many ways. You will have your meals at the estate restaurant. You might be surprised by the quality of the cuisine in this remote coastal area, but that’s how it is: the dining is excellent. If you need (or want), you can use the spa amenities. The massages blend local, Ayurvedic and Western techniques in a holistic way.

Tengah is part of Johor Marine Park. As the establishment is committed to conserving sites and natural environments, guests are encouraged to follow responsible practices. In general - and quite logically - it means refraining from taking, touching, disturbing, and so on. As a result, Eden lasts. You enter it - according to your wishes - by water or through the trees. Hike among them. Along the way, you might spot the charming pink-necked green pigeon or the somewhat less appealing clouded monitor. On those, we approach close by on paddle boards, and farther out by kayak. Snorkelling gives you a clear sense of the abundance of coral and their display of colourful fish. You soon become skilled enough for that. Divers will go deeper, meeting the stingray, the humphead parrotfish or the elusive blacktip reef shark. And you can also do nothing at all, simply enjoy the setting on the white sand or by the pool. Letting yourself simply live is still a way of travelling.

Crossing to the Mersing jetty, then private transfer to Singapore airport and return flight. Night on board, arrival the next day.

À la carte

This suggested itinerary can be customisable down to the smallest detail, including duration, stops and content. An à la carte menu of experiences is also available to create a journey that reflects who you are.

Kuala Lumpur street food

You're in luck because Malaysia's national dish is sold (and eaten) on the street. It's nasi lemak (rice cooked in coconut milk, belachan, a hard-boiled egg and fried little snacks). Street food is truly an expression of the blend of identities people have here. The small dishes are of Chinese origin: char kuey teow (fried noodles), bak kut teh (pork ribs); Indian origin: roti canai (flatbread), dal (lentil soup); Malaysian origin: satay (meat skewers), ikan bakar (grilled marinated fish). Etc. The Malaysian version of a burger is called ramly. It has little meat and is very sweet. In short, there is something for everyone. With a private English-speaking guide, you can do as the Malaysians do and try whatever takes your fancy. Forget your nutritionist's recommendations.
