Saint Martin & Anguilla Two neighbouring paradises in good weather

Saint Martin - Anguilla

The heart of the Antilles

From $7500 to $10100 per person for 9 days Price depends on departure city, season, accomodation types and selected activities

Itinerary highlights

  • Connecting two exceptional accommodations in Saint Martin and then Anguilla; never far from the striking blue of the Caribbean Sea.
  • Opt for spring or summer: the choice of tranquillity and the beauty of the season
  • Catamaran day trip around Saint Martin, snorkelling excursion around Anguilla: it’s already planned.
  • On-site assistance, rental car, our recommendations: the extra Voyageurs touch
The first chapter of this journey is the dual personality of Saint Martin. The island hides an invisible border running through its centre. To the north lies the French side, and to the south, the Dutch side. While it is easy to move from one to the other, most will prefer the calm and simplicity of the former over the ultra-modern resorts of the latter. One phenomenon, however, is considered universal: the aesthetic appeal of the beaches. Alternating between relaxing under the palm trees and enjoying a refreshing swim quickly becomes the main activity. It is also possible to climb to the summit of the island’s various hills. Gaining this elevation offers the needed distance for better contemplation. A quick boat ride takes you to its neighbour, the main island ofAnguilla,a British overseas territory. Upon arrival, the first impression gives you food for thought: have you travelled back in time? Long stretches of fine sand are interspersed with small, secluded coves where there is no longer anything to connect you to the here and now. And so, you adapt your pace. At Rendez-vous Bay - one not to be missed - the ivory-coloured sand forms a perfect semicircle.
Our Travel Tips - We can only recommend undertaking this journey at the end of spring, during May and June, or at the beginning of summer. At this time of year, the sea is calm and its colour is breathtaking, tropical fruits grow abundantly on the trees, and most visitors have already left… And while a few rainy spells do occur regularly in July or August, they never last very long and you can quickly return to your sun lounger. The Antilles, in their most intimate and secluded aspects, welcome you with gentleness.

Your journey

As a setting for this off-the-beaten-path duo, we have selected two very beautiful accommodations that perfectly complement each other. The first is among the legends of Caribbean hotels. It overlooks the west coast of Saint Martin, perched on a promontory above Baie Longue beach, one of the island’s most remarkable. Your second pied-à-terre opens unmistakably onto Maundays Bay, on the west of Anguilla. The understated and elegant interior enhances the natural setting. It goes without saying that the service is impeccable everywhere, and the facilities are state of the art. Outside your lodges, the itinerary alternates between wonderful discoveries and restorative stops. We have added two essential activities to your itinerary: a day aboard a catamaran around Saint Martin and a snorkelling excursion along the Anguilla coast. For the first few days, you also have a rental car at your disposal. From Marigot to Grand Case or from Pic Paradis to the Mullet Bay golf course - freedom suits you beautifully.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Upon arrival at the airport, you’ll pick up your rental car. Then you’ll drive to the west of the island, on the French side, and settle in for four nights at an establishment built on a cliff above the beach. The architecture features a Greco-Tunisian style - white walls, gables, arches and patios. The main building houses some of the rooms; the others are set along the waterfront. The décor combines Caribbean design and Indonesian furniture. Dining is split between a gourmet restaurant and a more informal one. Several swimming pools, a wellness centre and tennis courts complete the facilities.

Straddling the Dutch and French sides of the island, on the west coast, your accommodation is near the Cupecoy Bay area. Rapidly developing in recent years, it offers perhaps one of the best views of the Caribbean Sea. The adjoining marina is set between small shops and restaurants. The beach is edged by cliffs that split it into several coves. At the end of the day, you’ll realise that the sunset is a show all on its own.
Scheduled - a day around the island aboard a catamaran. To ensure you start your journey in the best possible conditions, you’ll be welcomed on board with a breakfast. The cruise will then set off towards Creole Rock, a well-known snorkelling spot that is part of the Saint Martin Nature Reserve. Lunch is served in the idyllic setting of Happy Bay. Baie Longue Beach wraps up the day with a welcome moment of relaxation. The crew, who act professionally, play a key role in the success of this getaway.

Must-see, must-do - Reach the far west of the island, Pointe du Canonnier, between Baie aux Prunes and Baie Longue; escape for a day to deserted Tintamarre Island, or to Isla de Pinel for a short hike; aim for the summit of Mount Careta; go shopping at Marigot market, the capital on the French side; or try to keep your balance on a windsurf board above the clear water…

Boat crossing to Anguilla island. Upon arrival at the port, a private transfer will take you to your hotel, where you’ll settle in for three nights. It enjoys an exceptional location on the edge of Maundays Bay. From every room, you can enjoy an unparalleled view. Inside, the décor draws on Moorish architecture, with planted patios and hammocks. On the private beach, there are parasols, massage tables and yoga sessions for early risers. Charming bicycles and electric mini-cars are also available for guests. At the various tables, the flavours are elevated by meticulous culinary craftsmanship that leaves nothing to chance and draws on the riches of the island and its surroundings.

Scheduled: a snorkelling trip off the coast of Anguilla. The island is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean - endless stretches of white sand. By venturing further out into the shallow turquoise waters, you can admire magnificent coral reefs. The brightly coloured fish, the turtles gliding above the underwater meadows, the anemones swaying in rhythm… You’ll see all this and more with the snorkelling equipment provided by the crew.

Must-see, must-do - Try kite surfing; photograph Shoal Bay Beach before laying down your towel; hum a few reggae tunes as you pass a local eatery; learn more about the island at the Heritage Collection Museum; explore the Big Spring caves, where Arawak Amerindian inscriptions are still visible; join the celebration during the Anguilla Summer Festival…

Boat crossing to Saint Martin, private transfer to the airport and international return flight. Night on board, arrival the next day.

À la carte

This suggested itinerary can be customisable down to the smallest detail, including duration, stops and content. An à la carte menu of experiences is also available to create a journey that reflects who you are.

A tour of the highlights of Saint Martin

Saint Martin is unique in that it is divided in two, with two different nationalities living side by side. The Anglo-American influence dominates the Dutch side, to the south of the island. Casinos and hotel-resorts line the coastline. On the French side, by contrast, a more languid atmosphere prevails. There are multiple beaches there, and they are generally more natural. You explore this land, its landscapes, historical sites and monuments accompanied by a guide who gladly shares their knowledge and our recommendations.
