While Africa has no shortage of regions where you can come face to face with wonderful wildlife, Kenya remains etched in people’s minds as the ultimate safari destination. And if, like rhinoceroses, some preconceptions are thick-skinned, it is sometimes simply because they are not entirely unfounded… We have therefore designed this journey to pay tribute to Kenya, its legendary reserves and the animals that live there. This is an XXL-format safari that begins and ends at the gates of Nairobi. Barely arrived, escape from the capital and head straight north, crossing the high plateaus - some of the most fertile lands on the continent - to get closer to Mount Kenya. Also known as Kirinyaga, this extinct volcano rises to over 5,000 metres above sea level, making it the second highest peak in Africa after Kilimanjaro. At its feet, the Ol Pejeta Reserve seems to use the giant mountain’s shadow to protect its treasures: 40,000 hectares of wilderness are home to giraffes, impalas and zebras, attracting the famous Big Five, including the rare black rhinoceros. You then head west, to the other side of the Aberdare mountain range, where another sanctuary of wildlife awaits: Nakuru National Park. There, around the lake of the same name, countless species live in the lush banks and the acacia-covered hills. Graceful ibises, stately pelicans, leaping gazelles, and pot-bellied hippos leave a lasting impression on the visitor’s eyes and memory. Next, head south-west and to one of Kenya’s legends, the Masai Mara. The great winter migration of wildebeest and zebras has made it famous. There is something very solemn and profoundly moving about this immense journey. Yet even when life in the savannah resumes its usual rhythm, it remains vibrant, always offering moments of quiet connection. The experience is always fresh and powerful. It's one you'll never tire of. Because real Africa is even more beautiful than the Africa of your dreams.br/>
Your trip:
We promised you a non-stop safari, and for that, we have found the perfect solution: a private 4x4, driven by a Kenyan driver-guide. He knows his country like the back of his hand and will accompany you throughout your trip. You will meet upon arrival, after being welcomed by our local representative, who will assist you with formalities with priority. A smooth arrival and transfer is guaranteed. Ensuring an intimate experience in the heart of nature, your accommodation consists of small establishments designed to extend your wildlife observation: an organic Kenyan farm at the foot of Mount Kenya, a charming cottage near Lake Nakuru, or a comfortable tented camp at the gateway to the Maasai Mara. At every stop-off, the atmosphere is warm and you have everything you need to relax, recover from the day’s adventures and prepare for what is next. Every day, several safaris - on foot or by 4x4 - are organised, accompanied by experienced rangers or guides. We have also added a cruise on Lake Naivasha and the exploration of Crescent Island to your itinerary. And if, along the way, a minor setback or an unexpected whim should arise, you have the contact details of our on-site Concierge to assist you. They will share their solid and reliable local expertise with you.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Night on board, arrival the next day.

Meet-and-greet at Nairobi Airport, assistance with customs formalities, then connect with your dedicated driver-guide who will accompany you throughout your trip. Drive to Mount Kenya (about 5 hours). On board, you’ll find cold drinks and a picnic basket at your disposal.
Two-night stay on an organic Kenyan farm surrounded by flowers. This working property produces much of what you later find on your plate. Room décor channels English country-cottage style, with floral eiderdowns, canopies and more. Complete the experience with a classic afternoon tea with a view. The lovely pool also enjoys the panorama too, as does the warm lounge, where guests gather to chat by the fireplace before dinner. Days unfold to the rhythm of walks around the farm and, of course, safaris in the Ol Pejeta Reserve.

In your itinerary - Safaris in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. At the foot of the Aberdares plateau, Ol Pejeta faces Mount Kenya, an extinct volcano rising to over 16,404 ft (5,000 metres), making it Africa’s second-highest peak after Kilimanjaro. On this private concession of nearly 100,000 acres (40,000 hectares) live the famous Big Five - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard - not forgetting the rhinoceros, recently reintroduced here. Impala, giraffe and zebra promise wonderful encounters too.
Optional - Lion tracking with a ranger.

Drive to Lake Nakuru and its national park (about 5 hours).
In your itinerary, en route - A boat trip on Lake Naivasha, a magnificent freshwater lake perched at over 6,168 ft (1,880 metres) above sea level, surrounded by hills and home to a multitude of wild animals. With a guide, you cruise the lake - an opportunity to discover local wildlife, including a large population of hippos and birds. Then you disembark on Crescent Island, a nature reserve that's home to gazelles, zebras and giraffes, as well as herons, pelicans and glossy ibis.
Check in for two nights at a stone cottage open to the surrounding nature. Your room is comfortable and simply decorated, featuring stylish African patterns in warm colours. The lounge and bar have a relaxed atmosphere, ideal for gathering and sharing stories. In the equally welcoming restaurant, modern African cuisine is served alongside more international dishes. The beautiful outdoor pool and massage service take care of weary bodies after you return from safari.

In your itinerary - Safaris in Nakuru National Park, with its emblematic Rift Valley landscapes. Many animal species live around Lake Nakuru, including rare white and black rhinos - reintroduced here into their natural habitat - as well as jackals, zebras, ostriches and even Rothschild’s giraffes. In this magical setting, it’s not uncommon to be pulled from your daydreams by the roar of a lion or the playful commotion of cheeky baboons.

Drive to the Masai Mara (about 6 hours), then check in for a two-night stay at a tented camp on the banks of the Talek River, which marks the boundary of this legendary reserve. Here, nature is at the heart of everything, and there isn’t a space that doesn’t open onto the river or savannah, allowing you to keep watch long after your safari ends. Simply settle comfortably on your terrace or in the lounge, drink in hand, and keep your eyes open. The canvas tents topped with a pretty thatched roof are very comfortable and perfectly equipped. By day, you explore the reserve in search of the Holy Grail: the Great Migration of wildebeest, often joined on their journey by zebras and antelopes.

In your itinerary - A full day of safaris in this mythical reserve. Maasai land, the Mara is not a park like any other. Its grand landscapes, typical of the region, stretch as far as the eye can see - a savannah dotted with acacias and bushes where herbivores graze. It's a stunning spectacle, especially at sunset. All the great African mammals are present here, especially during the Great Migration - an age-old natural movement that drives millions of wildebeest, zebras and other antelopes from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara, and back again. In front of the lens: crowded hills and an impressive number of big cats. Gazelles, hartebeest, topi and eland also graze freely, which suits their predators just fine: big cats of every category make a point of reminding all that nature is merciless to those who can’t outrun them. Hyenas, jackals, vultures and marabou storks then do their work, erasing any trace of battle. As for the elephant, its size commands respect. And the warthog’s ruggedness also protects it from misfortune. The Masai Mara is not just a wildlife display; it is a complete ecosystem, alive, abundant, and astonishing. What you see from your safari vehicle will stay with you forever...

Drive to Nairobi airport (about 7 hours), then direct international return flight. Night on board, arrival the next day.
