From Lagoons to Gardens Mauritius in charming retreats
Mauritius - Anse la Raie - Chamarel
Secret Mauritius
Anse la Raie - The beach as far as the eye can see
Located on the island’s north coast, your first retreat balances modern comfort with a decor where natural wood, shimmering silks and vibrant colours are reminiscent of colonial India. Nestled in a lush tropical garden, the rooms curve around a sheltered cove fringed with white sand. This particularly romantic hotel looks out over one of the island’s largest turquoise lagoons and has a splendid view of the small islands scattered on the sea. Its beach, numerous "love nests" and the beautiful spa make it the perfect place for couples to unwind together.Chamarel - A garden treasure trove
After the beach, fresh air and nature, and the romantic setting of an eco-lodge nestled in a verdant valley near the Ebony Forest Reserve in Chamarel. Surrounded by seven hectares (17 acres) of rare plants, it features a meditation labyrinth, open-air showers, and a colonial-style lounge for tea. The rooms are like small Creole cottages, with all modern comforts. Meals are served "in the garden". Homemade bread, eggs from the neighbouring farm and orchard jams are available in the morning. As night falls the chef serves typical Mauritian food such as fricassée, rougaille or a Mauritian barbecue.Itinerary
