  • Your exceptional accommodations: a window over the Museum of the Future, an elegant oasis in the dunes and a seaside sanctuary on Saadiyat Island.
  • Stroll through Dubai’s secret neighbourhoods, explore Abu Dhabi’s hidden side, and enjoy a self-guided visit to the Louvre: it’s all already planned!
  • Direct flights, carbon absorption, rental car, Concierge service, our recommendations: travel the Voyageurs way.
It is hard to imagine that just a century ago, the coastline of this part of the Persian Gulf was dotted with modest fishing villages, pressed up against the shore by the vastness of the desert. Such is the fascinating destiny of the United Arab Emirates - a federal state made up of seven emirates, the most famous of which are Dubai and Abu Dhabi - that has undergone a spectacular transformation thanks to the oil revolution of the 20th century. In Dubai in particular, luxury hotels, artificial islands, avant-garde projects, and record-breaking innovations now resonate far beyond the borders of the Gulf. As exuberant as it is magnetic, the city is a concentration of contrasts that leaves no one unmoved. A necessary first introduction to the Emirates. Beyond this urban oasis - a perfectly Emirati paradox - you’ll delight in traversing the endless dunes of the Rub al-Khali desert, also known as the “Empty Quarter”, by 4x4 or on camelback, as superbly described by explorer Sir Wilfred Thesiger in Arabian Sands. It is then time to return to the city to explore Abu Dhabi. Less ostentatious and a touch more conservative than its neighbour Dubai, the capital of the Emirates is nonetheless just as fascinating. It carefully nurtures its identity and is committed to preserving its heritage and promoting its culture. The Louvre Abu Dhabi is a testament to this, standing out as a pioneer as the first universal museum in the Arab world. A three-part journey to discover three facets of the Emirates, new horizons and new perspectives far removed from outdated visions.

Your journey

In their quest for extravagance and thanks to their position as an international flight hub, the Emirates have spared no expense when it comes to the quality of their hotel accommodation. You might as well play the game! Starting from scratch but benefiting from colossal resources, the establishments have drawn the best from all corners of the world. In Dubai, your accommodation draws inspiration from Bedouin traditions to offer resolutely contemporary comfort. Just a short walk from the Museum of the Future, its central location immediately plunges you into the heart of the action. Next, set course for the desert. Your private, eco-friendly villa, located on the Bateen Liwa dunes, is an elegant haven that extends your immersion in Emirati culture. A mirage of pure sensuality, unfolding at a serene pace. Can you ever bring yourself to leave? You must - to discover Abu Dhabi. Gone is the desert sand - now it's time for the beach. Settle in on the elegant and natural Saadiyat Island for an exquisite beachside escape. To help you experience the Emirates in grand style, three highlights are already on your agenda. A private guide in Dubai reveals the city from a more authentic and intimate perspective. At the end of your stay, another guide will show you a more confidential side of Abu Dhabi. You will also receive tickets to visit the highly anticipated Louvre Abu Dhabi at your leisure. And, if needed, our on-site Concierge is always available to assist you. In conjunction with your travel specialist, they can also adjust your journey according to your preferences as it unfolds.

Itinerary

100% customisable for you

Night on board, arrival the next day.

Private transfer and a two-night stay at your first Emirati refuge. Overlooking the Museum of the Future, near to Dubai International Financial Centre, the hotel draws inspiration from Bedouin traditions - desert nomads who once roamed these arid lands. The comfort is nonetheless ultra-modern, inviting you to enjoy the pleasures of a more settled lifestyle. The rooms evoke the hues of the desert with a colour palette ranging from white to brown. The wooden furniture and decor elements, with their playful design and Eastern influences, create a captivating and harmonious contrast. The hotel has a rooftop pool with views of Dubai’s skyscrapers. The restaurant and the many on-site bars offer a culinary journey around the world, from India to Bavaria.

On your intinerary - Like a local in Dubai. Immerse yourself in the soul of Dubai in the company of a true Dubaiite. He knows the city like the back of his hand and reveals his favourite spots and secret places to you. Set off to explore Bur Dubai, stroll through the Deira district along the Creek, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the souks. This walk is the perfect opportunity to share an authentic moment, talk about daily life in Dubai, and pick up plenty of advice to sweeten your stay. Forget about fixed plans: this relaxed encounter doesn’t have a set itinerary. The walk unfolds according to each person’s tastes and wishes.
Optional -  Tickets to the Museum of the Future.

Pick up your rental car and head for the Abu Dhabi desert. After nearly four hours on the road, the majestic dunes of the Rub’ Al Khali, the “Empty Quarter” - the largest uninterrupted expanse of sand in the world - come into view. Here, in an oasis nestled in the heart of this sea of sand, lies the purest and oldest essence of Emirati culture. Only a few intrepid adventurers have dared to venture there, discovering the magnificence and power of the Bateen Liwa dunes. Your private villa, perched atop these sandy slopes, awaits your arrival. Combining chic style and eco-sustainability, it features a swimming pool, sun loungers, a patio and a fire pit facing the dunes. The establishment makes it a point to act responsibly. To achieve this, it follows a zero-waste, zero-carbon and plastic-free policy wherever possible. This includes using environmentally friendly means of transport, sourcing local and ethical food, managing water sustainably, preserving local heritage, and supporting local communities.

Drive to Abu Dhabi, the federal capital of the Emirates - a city as vertical and forward-looking as Dubai. Although its fortune was forged from oil, the Emirati city now invests in a green and sustainable future. You will be staying for two nights on Saadiyat Island, a true natural paradise with its idyllic white-sand beaches. Your accommodation charms with its comfort and focus on well-being by the water, with elegant villas facing the sea and stunning pools. The youngest guests are welcomed at the “camp”, which offers them fun activities. The beach is carefully maintained and supervised.
On your itinerary - Secret Abu Dhabi. Often nicknamed the “Manhattan of the Middle East”, Abu Dhabi hides a more discreet and authentic city in the shadow of its skyscrapers and modern districts. After a visit to Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre, one of the city’s first malls, we stop at Bait al Oud. This institute celebrates the oud, an iconic instrument whose unique sound evokes traditional Arabic music. Next, we step through the doors of the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, the Emirati branch of the prestigious Paris university. This is your chance to visit its grand library and admire its dome - an architectural nod to its Parisian counterpart. To end off, we stroll through the date market, the fish market and the recently renovated Souq Al Mina. You’re accompanied by a private guide for the full duration.

Already included - Your tickets for the Louvre Abu Dhabi. This museum, with a universal mission, is the work of architect Jean Nouvel. Its immense dome evokes the lace of a parasol, letting sunlight filter through in magical, artistic and ever-changing beams. The arrangement of cubic blocks opens onto the gulf’s waters, lapping at the foot of a few steps. The museum collection housed in this Arab agora is as vast as it is diverse: ancient and contemporary works, paintings by Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gogh, Magritte, Bellini and Mondrian; Egyptian sculptures and sarcophagi; Greek antiquities; Chinese art.

Drive to Dubai airport, return the rental car and take your international flight home.

À la carte

This suggested itinerary can be customisable down to the smallest detail, including duration, stops and content. An à la carte menu of experiences is also available to create a journey that reflects who you are.

The Museum of the Future

Standing on Dubai’s main thoroughfare, it is one of the city’s most unique buildings. Its futuristic architecture alone is worth a visit: a huge asymmetrical ring whose steel and glass façade displays quotations in Arabic, including some lines of poetry written by the Emir of Dubai. Its goal: plan ahead for future developments in science and technology, as well as their impacts on society. A true living museum, the various exhibitions and interactive experiences offer visitors the chance to discover the innovations of tomorrow and their benefits in fields such as ecology, tourism and even space exploration.
