Bahia travel

A stay in Bahia is a journey to the roots of Brazil. Bahia, an African land of music and mysticism, a tropical location with the flavours of coconut and Dendé palm fruit oil. It is a spiritual city, the homeland of Vinicius and Gilberto Gil, of Jorge Amado and fitas, those little multicoloured cotton ribbons that have spread across the world and are said to bring good luck. The Pelourinho boasts the most beautiful churches in Brazil, such as São Francisco and its cloister decorated with 17th-century azulejos tiles, a jewel of Portuguese Baroque art.
