Finnish Lapland travel

Santa Claus certainly has good taste: he set up his village on the Arctic Circle, amidst fir trees, the extraordinary landscapes of the boreal wilderness, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, somewhere between dream and reality. And then there are those distinctive sounds of the Far North, muffled or amplified by the snow as if in a strange sound studio: the whisper of our breath, the crunch of snowshoes tracing a path through the powder after a snowfall, the soft swish of sled dog skis, whose barking suddenly ceases at the departure of the run, so focused are they on their race.
