Cairo travel
A trip to Cairo is essential for anyone wishing to discover Egypt. For a long time now, Cairo has embraced excess: 250 km (155 miles) for the metropolitan area, around 150 neighbourhoods, and endless streets. But it’s not that hard to find your way around! The Nile divides the city in two. On the right bank, Tahrir Square and Qasr El Nil Street; further east is Old Cairo with its historic Coptic and Islamic districts. On the left bank is modern Cairo of the 1960s, and the city of Giza, with its fertile lands, millennia-old pyramids and their eternal mysteries. During a stay in Cairo, one should
not miss the Egyptian Museum or a stroll through the Khan el-Khalili souk.
